The Department of Anesthesiology at The Ohio State University Medical Center offers an intensive postgraduate training program. The academic mission is strongly supported by Daniel Sedmak, MD, who holds the position of executive vice dean, College of Medicine. A recent RRC visit resulted in a four-year review cycle as well as an increase in the number of residents per class each year, from 10 to 12 residents.
The department also offers one-year clinical fellowships in pain medicine, critical care medicine, and cardiothoracic anesthesiology.
