The John A. Prior Health Sciences Library (HSL), located just outside the front door of University Hospital, supports information needs related to teaching, research and service of faculty and students from the Health Sciences Colleges, University Hospitals and the James Cancer Hospital Research Institute.

The electronic library catalog provides the ability to search, request and renew materials and is linked to the OhioLINK statewide electronic library system which provides access to other library catalogs, more than 100 networked databases and 6,247 full text electronic journals.

Residents in Department Library

In addition to the wealth of electronic resources, the HSL currently receives approximately 5,300 journal titles and has a collection of 215,000 volumes!

And, the HSL computer lab inlcudes 80 pcs in addition to 12 public workstations on floors 1, 2, 3, 4 for information retrieval and access and 8 DO IT Yourself Workstations that include media readers scanners presentation software, etc. located on the first floor.
